a short blog of what i've been up to this summer.

life went to temporary (not competently) shit. actually, when i first wrote this blog i started it off as "went to shit, temporary shit, as it seems, and not as bad as its been. but still shit.'' it's why i haven't been blogging. there hasn't been much to blog about during my time away. i've been pretty tired due to several forced irl activities that were/are asking way too much of me. finally, it's all slowing down. the only upside is becoming a thinkpad owner. (they are as wonderful as people tell you they are.)

the main thing i ended up doing was gaming. 2kki (of course), catching up in collective unconcious, unevendream have been my summer yume escapes. but i've also played some ff7 and ff3, though those are as i feel like. especilly 7 being a replay. the main thing that's taken a bunch of my ota time is princess maker children of revelation.

i'm been interested in it for a bit but it was in early access and not a lot to show for it. you could only go through the first four years for example. with a lot of behind the scenes problems people thought it was canceled until magically one day it got a huge update making not a complete game, but to me making the 34.00 price point acceptable.

it's been a blast, might even be my favorite one. (so far i've only played 1 and 2.) i don't know if i'm just crazy, it feel easier than the other ones. though to be honest, i don't play these games going for a specific ending, just do this stuff and see what happens. at the time of writing i've done most of the romance routes, and i find them pretty lacking at the moment. you do the special event and if you get it done soon there's nothing else to do with that character for three years. it's not what i came to this game for, but i am curious to unlock the special ending. even did a cube route, though it doesn't give you a jewel.

i'm keeping this light and extremely spoiler free but i got over 20 hours in it now. a great game to come home from the shit pit and relax to. though i haven't made my daughter a princess yet, just a neet... twice.

the other thing is i've put my jp learning on hold until things calm down. ota wise besides PM i've been re-reading the monogatari novels. right now i'm reading my english copies, but i gotta get to reading shudo's novels at some point so maybe i'll try to brave the untranslated ones. the worst i can do is not succeed for now.

a big thing that is out of my ordinary is learning computers. i'm having a lot of trouble installing harder operating systems. i'm not sure. old computer, newer computer something's always messing up a drive and unless its linux mint. but learning is the point and now i see this was way more necessary to tackle than just wanting to try ricing. i was going to talk more about why this is happening and the deets around the new laptops in my home to get it done, but i might save it for its own blog... and when i have some more success and knowlage under my belt.

i have worked on my art/writing this last month… finishing some bigger projects finally. june was rough on that for having writers block... july i got a lot of backlog worked on... i want to write more…
